Addressing the 11th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Beijing on Wednesday, Minister Trung proposed building a resilient and innovative Mekong-region, strengthening connectivity, and enhancing coordination between the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation mechanism and other regional cooperation frameworks.

He also called for closer cooperation in addressing non-traditional security challenges and for putting people at the center of cooperation.

Later that day, Minister Trung held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
