He thanked the UNODC for its close coordination with Vietnam in organizing the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi in October 2025. He said Vietnam hopes to continue close and effective cooperation in the diplomatic and legal processes necessary for the Hanoi Convention to be effectively implemented at an early date, which will strengthen cybersecurity and combating high-tech crime and help countries advance their technological development and innovation.
Mr. Hoang said he is confident that, under Ms. Juma’s leadership, the UNODC will continue to promote global efforts to fight transnational organized crime and advance justice, the rule of law, and sustainable development.
