The summit, held in Hanoi on Tuesday by Viettel Group and the GSMA - a London-based organization representing the mobile communications industry - brought together leaders in science and technology, businesses, investors and experts from Vietnam and abroad to discuss how the country can generate greater economic value from 5G, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and new partnership models.

GSMA described Vietnam as an increasingly important digital economy in the Asia-Pacific, noting that next-generation connectivity and digital infrastructure will play a decisive role in helping the country move further up global value chains.

Through Digital Summit Hanoi 2026, Vietnam and its international partners continued discussions on innovation policy, digital infrastructure standards, technology workforce development, and the commercialization of AI and 5G applications.
