During talks on Friday in Singapore, the two leaders pledged to promote high-quality two-way investment flows in strategic and high value-added sectors, particularly science, technology, and innovation, making them key pillars of the Vietnam-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The two sides noted that political trust has continued to strengthen, economic cooperation has expanded, and people-to-people exchanges have grown closer. Both countries are stepping up cooperation in key areas including digital transformation, science and technology, clean energy, carbon credit trading, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and financial services.
The two leaders also highlighted ASEAN’s important role and agreed to further deepen defense and security cooperation, while strengthening coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums.
