Participants agreed that opportunities for cooperation between the two countries’ business communities are broad and increasingly diverse. Priority sectors identified included food processing, electronic components, textiles, information technology, renewable energy, logistics, and the digital economy.
Businesses from both sides expressed strong interest in potential export and import products, trade policies, visa procedures, major air routes, and local government support mechanisms. Representatives of the Tunisian Federation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) addressed these issues and said the organization is considering sending a business delegation to Vietnam to participate in several major international trade fairs and exhibitions later this year.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Trade Office showcased catalogues and product samples from Vietnamese companies and invited delegates attending in person at UTICA headquarters to sample Vietnamese coffee. During networking sessions, many Tunisian businesses established contacts with potential partners to discuss imports of raw coffee, spices, rice, seafood, paper, and plastic materials from Vietnam.
During his visit, Vietnamese Trade Counselor Hoang Duc Nhuan also held working sessions with the Tunisian Trade Bureau and the Tunisian Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, while attending the Africa Food Industry International Exhibition 2026.
