At a meeting with UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Seema Malhotra in Hanoi on Wednesday, Minister Trung reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for British investors, particularly those involved in strategic infrastructure projects with broad economic benefits.
Ms. Malhotra reiterated the UK’s desire to deepen substantive cooperation with Vietnam across a wide range of areas, including diplomacy, migration, trade, investment, science and technology, education, and green growth.
Noting a strong interest among British businesses in Vietnam, especially in energy and green transition projects, she said the UK would continue supporting Vietnam’s implementation of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), including efforts to improve the regulatory framework and attract more international private-sector investment.
