Speaking at a ceremony hosted by the US Embassy in Hanoi on Wednesday to mark the 250th anniversary of US Independence Day, Minister Trung welcomed the US’s commitment to supporting a strong, independent, self-reliant, and prosperous Vietnam.
He emphasized that future cooperation should continue to be guided by the principles of mutual respect for each other’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political systems, while ensuring mutual benefit for both countries.
Minister Trung highlighted the US’s remarkable development over the past 250 years, noting that it has become one of the world’s leading powers. He expressed confidence that the US would continue to make positive contributions to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and around the world.
