The Vietnamese top leader expressed the desire for both sides to continue to coordinate closely, effectively implement, and further deepen the Comprehensive Partnership framework established in January 2025.
He affirmed that Vietnam considers Switzerland one of its leading partners in Europe and hopes that Switzerland will continue to be a reliable companion in Vietnam's new era of development.
For his part, President Parmelin emphasized Vietnam's rapid and comprehensive development achievements, which he said have made a strong impression on the world. Switzerland always values and wishes to further strengthen its cooperative relationship with Vietnam in the new period, he added.
The two leaders underlined the importance of strengthened exchanges to soon conclude negotiations and the sign a Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), of which Switzerland is a member, to create new momentum for bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
They agreed to enhance coordination at international forums and within the UN framework to contribute to resolving international issues of common concern on the basis of respect for international law, for peace, stability, and prosperous development in the region and the world.
