During their meeting in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Tra applauded the WHO’s important contributions to the development of Vietnam's health system over the past 50 years. She said the organization's current priorities are also the major directions that Vietnam is focusing on, especially primary healthcare, disease prevention, health emergencies response, and climate change adaptation.
Pratt said that WHO's goals are also the priorities that Vietnam is pursuing. WHO is especially interested in developing primary healthcare, strengthening tobacco control, and improving the capacity to respond to climate change and control environmental pollution to protect public health, she added.
