The ranking is based on performances at the 33rd SEA Games (December 14, 2025) and the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 finals held in March 2026.

With this position, Vietnam firmly holds the top spot in Southeast Asia. In Asia, the team ranks sixth, behind Japan, DPR Korea, Australia, China, and South Korea.

The world’s top 10 teams include Spain, the United States, England, Germany, Brazil, France, Sweden, Canada, the Netherlands, and Japan.
