The Deputy Foreign Minister met with Phil Nelson, Executive Vice President of CNN International Commercial at a reception in Hanoi on Monday. Nelson expressed the network’s wish to tell the story of a “new Vietnam” – a country experiencing strong growth in its economy, innovation, and technology while maintaining its rich cultural identity.
He said CNN is interested in expanding cooperation with Vietnamese agencies and localities in covering tourism, culture, innovation, and economic growth. CNN is exploring media ideas, promotional content, and the possibility of partnering with Vietnam in the preparation and organization of APEC 2027, Nelson added.
