Hoang Trung Hai, a member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, said: “The renewal’s achievements have turned Vietnam into one of Asia’s most dynamic and attractive economies. Vietnam is also a trusted friend and partner in the international community. One of Vietnam’s most remarkable achievements this year was being elected to a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure. In 2020, Vietnam will also hold the Chair of ASEAN.”

Mr. Hai said Vietnam and France have enjoyed a fruitful friendship, which has benefited overseas Vietnamese in France. On the occasion, Mr. Hai presented the Frendship Order to former French Ambassador to Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary.
