“I hope this high-level visit will open up more concrete cooperation opportunities with a wider range of partners, not only in training and expert exchanges but also in breakthrough initiatives, such as establishing joint laboratories, implementing long-term research projects, and gradually enabling Vietnam to master core technologies,” Professor Lai Ngoc Diep, a Vietnamese scientist based in France, told VOV.

Professor Tran Quoc Tuan, research director at France’s Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), expressed high hopes for cooperation in clean energy, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.

“I very much hope this visit will open new doors for Vietnamese scientists, universities, research institutes, and businesses to participate more deeply in cooperation programs under Horizon Europe. I have always believed that when Vietnamese talent connects with Europe’s scientific excellence, we can not only develop new technologies but also work together to address humanity’s major challenges,” he said.

Nguyen Xuan Huy, CEO of Datasight, an artificial intelligence and data-processing company, noted that the message from General Secretary and State President To Lam is very clear: move beyond shared orientations and intentions to address specific issues and deliver tangible results.

“That is also how we work. The framework agreements between the EU and Vietnam will establish a solid foundation, facilitate trade, establish common rules, and strengthen trust. For a European company like ours, this opens up real opportunities to work directly with Vietnamese specialists on specific projects and exchange expertise,” said Huy.
