Addressing the ceremony, the President applauded the self-reliance, determination and breakthrough mindset and action of generations of leaders, experts, and engineers of Viettel Group, particularly the silent dedication of each individual since the Viettel Aerospace Institute was established in 2014.
President Cuong emphasized that these achievements are not only the pride of the nation but also the realization of the Vietnamese people's age-old aspiration of being self-reliant to protect national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Amid global uncertainty, the task of building a modern, autonomous defense industry is more urgent than ever, President Cuong said and asked the Institute to master and develop modern technology and complete defense industrial infrastructure.
He urged for greater efforts to invest in research, testing, and production that meet international standards as well as build centers for evaluating the quality of defense equipment to better support product research and development projects.
