The delegates discussed major policies of the Party and the State on clean energy development, green transition, the circular economy, the use of biofuels and recommended solutions for developing a modern, efficient, and sustainable biofuel market.
Green energy has become an inevitable global trend. In this process, biofuels are increasingly recognized as an important solution for partially replacing fossil fuels, contributing to energy security, environmental protection, and green economic development.
VOV’s Vice President Pham Manh Hung said: “For Vietnam, developing biofuels is both an objective requirement in the energy transition process and an important task in fulfilling international commitments on responding to climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. It also presents opportunities for developing new industries, increasing the value of agricultural production, promoting technological innovation, and strengthening the economy’s self-reliance.”
Biofuel development strategy is becoming a central component of Vietnam’s green energy transition orientation. 2026 marks a major milestone with the introduction of E10 bio-gasoline nationwide.
