Attending the World Health Assembly’s plenary session, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Vu Manh Ha delivered a speech calling for stronger international cooperation to effectively address the growing global health challenges.
Regarding Vietnam's key priorities, the Deputy Minister said Vietnam focuses on strengthening primary healthcare and grassroots healthcare, aiming for universal health coverage. He underlined promoting global health security through building an equitable health structure, ensuring equitable access to vaccines, treatments, and medical products.
According to Deputy Minister Ha, Vietnam is accelerating the transformation of its healthcare network to adapt to and mitigate the risks posed by climate change, and hopes to continue receiving international support and cooperation in this area. Vietnam is committed to continuing to share experiences, contribute resources, and work closely with countries and international organizations to build a safer, more equitable, and more resilient global health system against future challenges, he said.
