The 36km road will run through 18 wards and communes in Hanoi. It will begin at the connection with Ring Road 1 near the Kim Lien tunnel area and end at the Cau Gie interchange in Chuyen My commune.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Dai Thang said the route is expected to be a driving force for the development of southern Hanoi. “The people’s consensus is the most important foundation for the successful implementation of large-scale development projects,” Thang said, adding, “Hanoi has always believed that guidelines and policies must place the people at the center to ensure harmony among the interests of the State, businesses, and the people.”
“I strongly believe that, with a sense of responsibility, the aspiration to develop the capital, and the people’s support, the project will go smoothly and on schedule,” Thang noted.
The road will have 10 lanes on the main route and 6 parallel lanes on the sides, designed for speeds up to 80 km per hour. The project, scheduled for completion in 2027, will contribute to Hanoi’s transportation network in line with the Capital Master Plan with a 100-year vision.
