World Economic Forum to be held in Singapore in May

(VOVWORLD) - The World Economic Forum (WEF) will be held in Singapore from May 13 to 16 next year instead of Switzerland as the COVID-19 pandemic will make it difficult to ensure the health and safety of participants in Europe, WEF president Borge Brende said in an email this week.

“The Managing Board took a very important decision today to move the Special Annual Meeting 2021 to Singapore,” Brende said in the email.

Next year’s Forum will address recovery from the pandemic through a joint effort to revive the global economy towards fairness, sustainability, and resilience.
