Steve Rotheram, mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said: "After a lot of negotiations, Liverpool City Region can announce that there will be in 2028 a Beatles experience that will be like no others. We will be watching stuff on screen but then be able to go and experience that exact thing, walk through it, and experience what it was like to be one of the Beatles."
The museum will leave its long-time home at Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock complex, where it has operated since 1990.
The new museum will cover more than 900 square meters, four times the size of the current venue. Apple Corps said the museum will use immersive technology, original artifacts, and reconstructed historical settings to tell the Beatles’ story.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Radio City Tower will be transformed into a Beatles-themed attraction inspired by the band’s hit “Yellow Submarine.” Visitors will enjoy panoramic, 360-degree views of Liverpool and landmarks associated with the band.
