The event aims to introduce and promote Yen Bai province’s cultural heritages and tourism products to domestic and foreign visitors in order to help boost local socio-economic development. The cultural week is also designed to enhance connectivity among localities on sustainable tourism in Vietnam’s northwestern region, and to establish a high-quality distribution chain of tourism products.
The festival to discover scenery terraces in Mu Cang Chai will feature a wide range of activities: performances, a culinary festival, a rural market , and a journey through the heritage. Other highlights include a paragliding festival on terraced fields entitled "Flying on the golden season", a festival to honor the Suoi Giang tea tree, a contest for braying Tu Le young sticky rice, as well as eco-tourism activities in local hot springs, while the adventurous people can try conquer the Ta Xua and Ta Chi Nhu mountain peaks in Tram Tau district.
