At the working session, General Secretary and President Lam asked the Editorial Team to further refine the summary report, saying it must create new values, new contributions, and new perception. It must highlight the lessons learned that are inherent in the country's development, and especially prioritize defining the vision and leadership direction for national development over the next 100 years, he said.
“The vision for the next 100 years must continue to reflect the aspirations for development of the Vietnamese nation. It must answer the big questions: What kind of developed nation does Vietnam want to become in the next century? What foundations must be maintained? What are the new drivers of development? What breakthroughs must be identified? What risks must be faced? What values must be protected and promoted? The vision must have the height of aspiration, the depth of theory, closely adhere to the country's reality and the trends of the times,” according to the top leader.
