The official ceremony was held on Thursday morning at the Reunification Hall, attended by Party and State leaders, veteran revolutionaries, and representatives from all walks of life.
In the evening, a special live television program will be broadcast from two main venues: the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Dinh Square, together with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, in Hanoi. The city will also stage fireworks displays at 16 locations from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
Another highlight of the celebrations is an international 3D mapping program taking place from Wednesday through Sunday. On opening night, thousands of residents and visitors gathered to enjoy a spectacular visual display featuring large-scale projection mapping synchronized with live musical performances.
“I’ve watched previous 3D mapping shows, but this year’s program featured many new images and creative ideas. I was especially impressed by the scenes showcasing Vietnam’s cultural heritage, the ao dai, and traditional costumes. It made me feel very proud to see the beauty of our culture presented to visitors and friends from around the world,” said local resident Tran Thanh Lam.
Images of Ho Chi Minh City are also being showcased on giant digital billboards in downtown Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday and Thursday.
