The event was jointly organized by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Policies and Strategies, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Theoretical Council, the Hai Phong municipal Party Committee, and other agencies.
Head of the Commission for Policies and Strategies Nguyen Thanh Nghi said that renewing the development model on the foundation of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is a strategic choice for Vietnam’s future.
"This is not simply an adjustment to the development model, but a comprehensive transformation in the development approach aimed at creating new growth drivers, improving labor productivity and national competitiveness, while strengthening Vietnam’s strategic autonomy and self-reliance,” he noted.
Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, said that renewing the development model is essential for Vietnam to move beyond outdated thinking and previous development limits, creating new momentum while strengthening strategic autonomy and national resilience in an increasingly unpredictable world.
“It is important to recognize that in this new development model, people are not only the goal of development, but also its resource and internal driving force,” he said.
