Prime Minister Hung proposed that both sides further strategic trust, organize high-level exchanges and contacts, and utilize existing cooperation mechanisms. He stressed the need to boost infrastructure connectivity, form a multimodal transport system, prioritize railway cooperation, and strengthen connections with other countries and regions.
The Vietnamese PM also called for developing balanced and sustainable bilateral trade, promptly implementing smart border gate models, building cross-border economic cooperation zones, and facilitating trade, investment, and industry cooperation. He expressed his desire for both sides to further expand cooperation in science and technology, education, high-quality human resource training, and healthcare.
It’s necessary to forge cultural and tourism cooperation, successfully implement the Vietnam-China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026-2027, and continue to effectively utilize existing local cooperation mechanisms, especially between border localities, according to PM Hung.
Premier Li said China considers Vietnam a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy, adding China will work with Vietnam to closely adhere to high-level common understandings, deepen strategic development connections, and promote substantive cooperation. He reiterated China's readiness to strengthen railway cooperation between the two countries and enhance connectivity with other countries and regions.
The Chinese Premier underlined industry connectivity and agricultural trade and called on reputable and capable enterprises to expand high-quality investments, especially in science and technology and innovation. He urged the two countries to strengthen cooperation in energy security and electricity connectivity, and enhance friendly exchanges between the people.
The two leaders exchanged views on global and regional issues of mutual concern. They affirmed their commitment to close coordination to ensure the success of the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Years 2026 and 2027, to be held in China and Vietnam. Both sides also agreed to work together to better manage and address differences, maintain peace and stability at sea, and nurture a favorable environment for the development of each country.
