The report shows that Vietnam’s innovation startup ecosystem continues to improve significantly in both ranking and growth momentum. StartupBlink identified Vietnam as one of the standout performers among countries ranked between 21st and 50th worldwide.
According to the report, the group of countries ranked from 21st to 50th represents the most dynamic segment of the global rankings, recording much faster growth than the leading group. Within this category, Vietnam and Thailand were highlighted as two of the region’s strongest growth performers.
At the city level, Ho Chi Minh City entered the global Top 100 startup ecosystems for the first time, climbing 12 places to rank 98th worldwide.
The Global Startup Ecosystem Index has been published annually by StartupBlink since 2017, evaluating startup ecosystems in countries and cities worldwide based on criteria including activity scale, ecosystem quality, and the business environment.
Headquartered in Singapore, StartupBlink is an international organization specializing in research, mapping, and assessment of global startup ecosystems. The 2026 report covered more than 1,500 cities across 120 countries and territories.
