Unlike conventional performing arts models, ELYH Entertainment is built entirely on a family-centered community foundation, where the line between “performer” and “audience” is intentionally blurred. Parents and children create, perform, and enjoy art together.
Nguyen Thu, a representative of the project’s organizing committee, said, "In this program, children and parents perform together on stage. It strengthens family bonds and highlights the long-term companionship between parents and children as they reach milestones together."
The ELYH Entertainment program comprises two activities: a visual arts exhibition and an evening of music and stage performances.
The first exhibits paintings and handicrafts created by children in the ELYH community. Each artwork embodies the innocence and imagination with which children view the world around them.
Phuong Minh, a young participant, said, "Taking part in the program allows me to share my passion for painting with friends who have the same interests. It gives us a place to learn together, support one another, and spread creative inspiration."
During the special night of music and art performances, the stage belongs to children and their parents playing musical instruments, singing, dancing, and exhibiting other performance skills.
In modern urban life, busy schedules and digital devices can gradually weaken family connections, turning a house into little more than a shared living space. The educational community English Lights Your Home is dedicated to fostering learning, language development, and life skills among young people, with family bonding at its core. Through ELYH Entertainment, the organization seeks to promote holistic education by nurturing both intellect and emotional well-being.
According to Ms. Thu, art can grow out of everyday life and be cultivated within the family. ELYH Entertainment is designed, not to train professional performers, but to encourage family members to express themselves freely.
When parents put aside work to paint with their children or stand beside them on a stage to perform a piece of music, family bonds are strengthened and a loving environment is created in which children can develop emotionally and physically.
"ELYH Entertainment is a long-term initiative held every three months to give young people opportunities to demonstrate their art talents. Art thrives on the companionship between parents and children. We hope this program will teach young people to appreciate and strive for the values of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty,” said Thu.
