Vietnam, Singapore pledge stronger Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

At a meeting on Friday with Singaporean Ambassador Rajpal Singh, who paid a courtesy call at the beginning of his tenure in Vietnam, Pham Gia Tuc, Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office, suggested that the two sides further strengthen political trust, effectively promote existing cooperation frameworks and move toward more substantive and deeper partnerships.

Ambassador Rajpal Singh promised to make every effort to promote bilateral cooperation in traditional areas and also in new growth sectors, including high technology, finance and maritime ports.

He also affirmed that Singapore will continue to work closely with Vietnam and support each other at multilateral forums, including the ASEAN Future Forum 2026, as well as effectively coordinate in 2027 when Vietnam will host APEC and Singapore will serve as ASEAN Chair.
