Built in 1879, Master Thim Palace features distinctive architectural and sculptural elements from the Nguyen Dynasty. Beyond its architectural significance, the site preserves human stories about Master Thim.

According to legend, Thim was a Taoist master who settled with his wife in what is now Tan Hai Commune. The couple earned the respect of local residents for their kindness, treating the sick, helping the poor, and supporting fishermen in building stable livelihoods.

Recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, the Master Thim Palace Festival is held annually.
