In Washington D.C., the FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone on the National Mall is attracting tens of thousands of people to watch matches, participate in cultural activities, and experience the excitement of the tournament in the heart of America's political center.

The Fan Zone, surrounded by iconic American landmarks including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the US Capitol, will be the venue for key events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence.

According to the Freedom 250 organizing committee, the Fan Zone, in addition to live matches on large screens will offer interactive exhibitions, youth programs, international cultural exchanges, art performances, and food sales.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the National Mall provides a unique setting that connects the global appeal of the World Cup with the rich history of the US, adding that the Fan Zone brings the spirit of the beautiful game to the heart of the capital, where history, culture, and community come together.
