For two decades, the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo has been growing in scale and appeal. This year’s event is drawing 520 organizations and brands, Vietnam’s 34 provinces and cities, and 260 high-level international buyers from 40 countries and territories. More than 21,000 B2B appointments are planned, giving businesses opportunities to meet potential partners, develop new tourism products, and attract more international visitors to Vietnam.

Besides promoting the image of HCM City, the Expo provides a platform for Vietnam’s provinces and cities to showcase their distinctive tourism products, cultural heritage, and local strengths. It also aims to strengthen regional tourism links and encourage the development of interprovincial routes and integrated travel products. Ho Chi Minh City’s role as a gateway and tourism hub will be upheld.

Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said: “International promotion is defined as a strategic tool to connect with markets and strengthen the destination’s position. ITE HCMC 2026 is a strategic international tourism promotion platform that brings together management agencies, businesses, and global partners to create new value for the tourism sector.”

Nguyen Van Minh, Director of the Ninh Binh Tourism Information and Promotion Centre, said: “We see Ho Chi Minh City as one of our key tourism markets, so we’re stepping up efforts to promote Ninh Binh’s image. Ninh Binh has established information desks at support stations to give visitors timely information and strengthen the cultural connection between the two destinations. This will create a more seamless experience for tourists.”

Strengthening links between localities and connecting Vietnamese businesses with foreign partners makes Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo an important intersection of Vietnam’s tourism sector and the global market.
