(VOVWORLD) - Christmas is celebrated around the world in a variety of ways. In Vietnam, this is a solemn celebration for Christian communities and also a festive occasion for non-Christian people, especially young people, to join in cultural and artistic activities, give gifts to others, and convey best wishes to relatives and friends.

In Da Nang city, crowds of people gather at places where Christmas decorations are sold – in Hung Vuong, Le Duan, Trung Nu Vuong, and Phan Chau Trinh street – to shop for Christmas items. Cafes and restaurants are decorated with Christmas trees, snowmen, and tinsel.
On Christmas Eve, Da Nang will host a "Fun with Santa Claus" program, and 3,000 gifts will be given to lucky children, residents, and tourists. Nguyenn Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the municipal Tourism Department, said, “The festival will last 20 days and create a joyful atmosphere in Da Nang. We hope it will become an annual event connecting local residents and tourists.”

Local student Nguyen Phuong Linh of Duy Tan Da Nang University said, “This year, Da Nang is organizing more events like this than in previous years. This season will be very cheerful. I hope the many fantastic activities will attract more tourists.”
Since early December, recreation centers and resorts in Binh Thuan province have been decorated with a Christmas theme for tourist photos.

We will organize a dinner party for our guests on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.”
During the winter holiday, resorts along the coast of Mui Ne ward in Phan Thiet city are crowded with foreign tourists, who have been treated to art performances and Christmas parties of Vietnamese, Asian, and European cuisine.
