Highlights of the event included exhibitions at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum featuring the Thang Long Imperial Citadel – a World Heritage site – and the Temple of Literature – a Special National Monument and World Documentary Heritage. 80 booths showcasing Hanoi’s cultural and historical landmarks, unique craft villages, culinary delights, and notable souvenirs were set up. Visitors could explore replicas of Hanoi's old streets and neighborhoods, and experience the richness of Hanoi's culture and heritage.

Vu Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee, said the event presented Hanoi's traditional and cultural uniqueness while blending it with Ho Chi Minh City's vibrant cultural space.

Ha said: "The event is an occasion for the two cities to reflect the glorious national history and share and promote their cultural uniqueness, potential, and people. It fosters a deeper connection between the two cities and helps visitors better understand the history and culture of Thang Long-Hanoi and the close bond between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, a vibrant, sentimental and hospitable city."

One of the exhibition's key features was the "Heroic Spirit of Thang Long" area, which included a replica of the Hanoi logo and the Martyrs' Monument, creating a respectful and evocative ambiance. Long Bien Bridge was also artistically recreated on Nguyen Hue Flower Street, showcasing a significant symbol of Hanoi's history. Additionally, miniatures of the Hanoi Mid-Autumn Festival, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Mural Street, Hanoi flowers, and the headquarter of the Ha Noi Moi newspaper, enriched the exhibition, allowing visitors to experience the spirit and beauty of the capital.

Visitors Ta Minh Huy and Le Nguyen Hong Anh from Ho Chi Minh City expressed their admiration for the exhibitions:

“I’m very impressed with the exhibitions, which embrace historical traces of Vietnam. The exhibitions help us, the young people, better understand the nation’s history. It’s very useful for us.”

“I loved the exhibition because I’m interested in ancient architecture and the traditional dragon patterns of the past. Using new technologies like VR, the exhibition offered visitors a new way to engage with Hanoi's history and architecture.”

During the event, a delegation of Hanoi visited and presented gifts to 70 policy families in Ho Chi Minh City.
