The integrated settlement of procedures for the two public service groups was piloted in Hanoi and Ha Nam province last year. Death declaration registration, residence registration cancellation, and funeral expense allowance have been integrated nationwide since June 15. Birth declaration registration, residence registration, and provision of health insurance for children under 6 will be integrated nationwide as of July 1.

Parents, guardians, and relatives of children under 6 need only fill in one form on the national public service portal. Upon receiving the required electronic dossiers from the portal, the relevant social security agencies will settle the procedures.

Ho Xuan Son, a Hanoi resident, said: "Settlement of administrative procedures is very convenient now. It’s quicker and the administrative workers are very helpful."

The government will continue to strengthen administrative reforms, said Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son.

"We will continue to review and restructure the provision of people-centered online public services. We will continue to promote effective administrative procedures and  reform the others," said Mr. Son.

The integrated settlement of administrative procedures is a major step toward a people-centered administration.
