Petrovietnam celebrates 63 years of oil and gas industry traditional day

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) held a meeting in Hanoi on November 27 to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam oil and gas industry (November 27, 1961-November 27, 2024).

In the first 11 months of 2024, Petrovietnam has achieved all production targets and exceeded the full-year targets, said Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son. So far, the State-owned firm has fully accomplished its financial targets for 2024, finishing 3-5 months ahead of schedule, and growing 5-31% compared to 2023. Petrovietnam is taking strong measures to earn 1 quadrillion VND (39.4 billion USD) in revenue this year.

After more than 6 decades, Petrovietnam has become Vietnam's leading economic and technical group, Chairman Le Manh Hung said. In the era of national growth, Mr. Hung emphasized that the Group must shift its business model to suit market changes, restructure its governance, streamline the apparatus, and optimize resources to foster growth momentum and raise labor productivity.

Its more than 60,000 oil and gas workers need to promote the spirit of "Aspiration - Intelligence - Professionalism - Compassion". This culture is the glue that binds and motivates the Group to develop, affirm its position, and contribute to the stability and prosperity of Vietnam's economy.
