After 28 editions, 280 outstanding Vietnamese youths and 277 promising Vietnamese youths have been honored in various fields.

Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association, said that the organizing board and the jury council were impressed with the nominees, many of whom have won the Labor Order, second class, and gold medals of international Olympic competitions.

“This demonstrates that young Vietnamese talents are passionately and enthusiastically contributing to the national construction and development,” said Triet.

Many of the 19 nominees for this year's online voting round are familiar faces, with outstanding achievements in their careers. They are singer Soobin Hoang Son, soccer player Nguyen Tien Linh, and Dr. Pham Huy Hieu.

The award ceremony will take place in March  in Hanoi.
