33 new local COVID-19 infections recorded, all in quarantined, sealed-off areas

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported 34 new COVID-19 cases including 33 locally-transmitted cases and 1 imported case in the last 12 hours as of Wednesday morning. 

All of the new cases were reported in quarantine centers and sealed-off hospitals.

So far, Vietnam has had 3,571 COVID-19 cases, more than 2,600 of them have recovered and 35 died. Nearly 900,000 people have been vaccinated.

According to worldometers.info, by this morning, there are more than 160 million COVID-19 infections and 3.3 million deaths worldwide. The US records the highest number of infections, followed by India and Brazil.
