(VOVworld) – A meeting to mark the 50^th anniversary of the Dam Doi-Cai Nuoc-Cha La victory was held in the southernmost province of Ca Mau on Sunday. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Thanh Tuoi said that the victory marked the outstanding growth of the revolutionary armed force and played an important role in the national resistance war against US imperialists. He said: “Lessons from the victory are valuable in building the people’s armed force and combining economic development with national defense in the new era.”

Earlier, construction of the Dam Doi-Cai Nuoc-Cha La victory relic site began in Cha La hamlet on an area of 3 hectares. The 2 million USD project includes a traditional house, a monument and exhibitions highlighting local socio-economic achievements.
