635 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Friday

(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Health said that on Friday Vietnam reported 635 new cases of COVID-19, the highest in the past 3 weeks.

During the day, there were no deaths and 145 patients recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to more than 10.6 million.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam’s caseload has reached more than 11.5 million, ranking 13 out of 230 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 117.

The death toll from COVID-19 in Vietnam has so far been more than 43,000, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

As of Friday, more than 264.6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
