(VOVWORLD) - Dien Bien province on Friday organized several activities to mark the 68th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

More than 200 members of the provincial Youth Union burned incense at the National Martyrs Cemetery to pay gratitude to soldiers who laid down their lives at the Dien Bien Phu battle to wrest back independence and freedom for the nation.
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a special arts program praising the globe-shaking Dien Bien Phu victory. The program featured hundreds of artists.
