Activities to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 123rd birthday

(VOV) – The Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh city has opened an exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh’s relations with the ethnic minority people to mark the anniversary of his 123rd birthday as well as the 102nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s foreign travels to seek the path of national salvation.

The exhibition includes more than 80 documents and photos depicting the President presenting gifts to elderly ethnic minority people in Lao Cai in 1958, Ho Chi Minh’s visit to ethnic people in the mountainous area of Pac Bo, Cao Bang in 1961, and many of his other written documents. The exhibition shows President Ho Chi Minh’s deep affection to Vietnamese people and highlights his dream of national unity through national liberation, construction and defence. Nguyen Thi Hoa Xinh is the Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh city: "In coming times, we will make some changes to the displays and introduce more advanced facilities such as touch-screen displays. We will continue to organize more special exhibitions on President Ho Chi Minh’s love for the South and vice versa".

Some writings which won top prizes in a contest about Uncle Ho and the ethnic groups are also on display at the exhibition.
