(VOVworld) – An art program was held in Hanoi on Saturday to honor individuals and organizations who contributed significantly to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children.

The event also called for more social support for poor and disadvantaged children to help them have a cozy lunar new year festival. Nearly 7.5 million USD was raised at the event. Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen said: “Vietnamese children are better taken care of and enjoy every of their rights. However, children in remote and disadvantaged areas still face many difficulties. This program is aimed at raising social awareness on child care and protection and calling for more support to help disadvantaged children.”
