At a press conference on the main content and Vietnam’s priorities in the summit scheduled for this weekend in Myanmar, Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh talked about Vietnam’s participation in the meeting:“A Vietnamese delegation led by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will participate in the ASEAN summit and its related events. We will contribute ideas to the establishment of the ASEAN community by 2015, and creating an ASEAN long-term that will lift it to a new height after 2015.”
Vinh said high on the agenda of this summit will be the East Sea issues around China’s recent violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty.
