Australia assists Vietnam’s climate change adaptation

(VOVworld)-Representatives of the Australian Government, UN’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and related agencies met today/ on Wednesday in Hanoi to announce climate change adaptation projects funded by the Australian Government. A two-year climate change adaptation project will be carried out in the Mekong Delta in five districts of An Giang and Soc Trang provinces. The non-refundable aid worth 3 million AUD will help coastal communities adapt to climate change.  A greenhouse gas reduction rice cultivation project will help 1,200 households in An Giang and Kien Giang provinces produce high-yield rice.
