Australia considers Vietnam a valued parter in Asia-Pacific

(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh city’s Union of Friendship Organizations held a meeting to mark Australia’s 226th National Day on January 26.
Since the two countries established a comprehensive partnership, the Vietnam-Australia relationship has prospered in all fields. Australia has committed to boosting cooperation with Vietnam in development assistance, education, infrastructure, agriculture, and rural programs.

John McAnulty, Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh city, spoke at the event: “Today, Vietnam is one of Australia’s important and valued partners in the Asia - Pacific. In respect to economic ties, Vietnam and Australia have a long history of commercial success and cooperation. And it will continue. Looking to the future, there are ongoing opportunities to further advance our already close relationship.”

Ho Chi Minh city organized various activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic ties last year, which helped the people of the two countries understand each other better.
