Bac Lieu wind power plant generates 1 billion kWh
(VOVWORLD) -The offshore wind power plant in Bac Lieu city celebrated its 1 billionth kWh on Friday.
The plant, which has a total capacity of 99 MW with 62 turbines, began to generate electricity for the national grid in June 2013. The project costs over 220 million USD.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of Bac Lieu province’s People’s Committee Duong Thanh Trung said the Bac Lieu wind farm paves the way for other offshore wind power projects in Vietnam and in Bac Lieu in particular.
