Bomb blasts rock Damascus

(VOVworld)- Syrian Minister of Health Wael Al Halaqi said in a televised statement that at least 27 people were killed and around 100 others injured when two suicide bombings rocked the Syrian capital on Saturday morning in swift succession.

Initial investigation results revealed that these possibly are terrorist bomb blasts. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the deadly multiple bomb attacks in Damascus and called for an immediate end to all violence in Syria. From Paris, French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said: "France condemns all acts of terrorism, which cannot be justified under any circumstances." Meanwhile, Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr affirmed Cairo's fixed position against terrorism in any form, regardless of the reasons behind it. Syrian Ministry of Internal Affairs warned of no concessions for those who undermine the country’s security and stability.
