Book on Vietnamese NA's 80-year history debuts

(VOVWORLD) -A book chronicling eight decades of the Vietnamese National Assembly was launched in Hanoi on Monday, to mark the 80th anniversary of the nation's first general election (January 6) and the run-up to the 14th National Party Congress.

The book, titled “80 Years of Vietnamese National Assembly – Historical Milestones,” is published by the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and the National Assembly Office.

Su That’s Director and Editor-in-Chief Associate Professor Vu Trong Lam said "the book retraces an 80-year legislative path shaped by brainpower, resolve, dedication, and an enduring aspiration to serve the people, fuel sustainable national development, and secure a better future for generations to come".

National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh said "the book reflects close and effective cooperation between the National Assembly and the Truth National Political Publishing House".

The book is divided into two sections. The first, “President Ho Chi Minh and the National Assembly”, highlights his role in building the Vietnamese rule-of-law state and legislature with a focus on elections. The second, “80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly (1946–2026)”, reviews its 15 terms, highlighting milestones, achievements, and its role in national liberation, construction, defense, and development.
