Bustling celebrations held across Vietnam to welcome New Year 2025

In Hanoi, dazzling fireworks lit up the skies in Hoan Kiem, Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong districts, Son Tay town, and Dong Anh district, creating a vibrant start to the new year.

In Sa Pa, Lao Cai province, a special art program marked the occasion.

Luong Van Huynh, a tourist from Hanoi said: "This is my first time in Sa Pa. The weather is very cold, but the atmosphere is incredibly joyful. I wish all Vietnamese people a new year filled with happiness, health, and success."

In the central region, major cities hosted a variety of New Year celebrations. In Da Nang City, street music performances at East Bank Park, Dragon bridge, Tran Thi Ly bridge, and Bach Dang pedestrian street attracted crowds of young people and tourists.

April 2 Square in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province was packed with tens of thousands of residents and visitors enjoying the countdown art program.

Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, a local resident, said: "New Year's Eve was spectacular, bustling, and so much fun. Many international visitors from South Korea, China, and Russia joined the festivities. I hope events like these will help Nha Trang better known globally."

In Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Hue Pedestrian street, District 1, hosted a countdown program that drew thousands of attendees.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Toan of District 8 said: "Every year, I make time to come here to celebrate the New Year. I arrived at 6 p.m. to enjoy the music and welcome 2025. I hope this year brings prosperity to everyone."

In Ninh Thuan province, April 16 Square in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City was the venue for a vibrant cultural and artistic program. The event featured a countdown and a low-altitude fireworks display, drawing a large crowd of individuals, businesses, and families.
