Cambodia promotes tourism in Can Tho city
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam and Cambodia have effectively controlled the COVID-19 pandemic and the tourism industry has recovered, said Thok Sokkhom, Cambodian Under-Secretary of State, at the Cambodian tourism promotion event in Can Tho on Wednesday.

Through a program called “Visit Cambodia next – Safe, Warm, Clean and Green Tourism Destination”, Mr. Sokkhom said he hopes Can Tho city and provinces in the Mekong Delta will continue to create favorable conditions for Cambodian travel agents and tourism companies to introduce and promote tours and tourism products.

Ha Van Sieu, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Administration of Tourism, said Vietnam and Cambodia have recognized each other's vaccine passports and will work closely with each other for further tourism development.
“We strongly believe that Cambodian and Vietnamese tourism will reap success. This year the two will celebrate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties with multiple cultural, sports, and tourism activities, as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Vietnam will welcome a greater number of Cambodian tourists in the coming months,” said Sieu.
