(VOVworld) - The National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children has host a conference to review the implementation of the national policy on child protection in the 2008-2010 period.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said child protection and care is an important task of the Party, State, people, and primarily each family. “Nearly 3,000 child abuse cases have been put on trial over the last 3 years but the actual figure may be higher. We are unable to completely solve the problem at this conference, but to assess the real situation, causes, and responsibility so as to have comprehensive measures to better care for children”, said Chairman Hung.

Representatives from the Ministries of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Education and Training, Culture, and relevant agencies answered questions relating to their responsibilities on child protection and care.
